When I embarked on the journey of creating Juka’s Clean Beauty, my primary goal was to empower women and connect people to the vibrant culture of Africa. By choosing our skincare products, you're not just investing in your own well-being; you're also supporting African women farmers, fostering a holistic, healthy lifestyle, and realizing that both objectives are attainable.

My entrepreneurial journey began at an early age right here in California. In 2008, I ventured into the world of business by establishing an African food market in the city of Inglewood. However, it wasn't long before I recognized a significant gap in the availability of authentic, natural African food products in the United States, accessible to the mainstream American market. This realization led to the birth of Juka’s Organic Co. in 2013.

With the invaluable assistance of my mother, we began by importing red palm oil, which I meticulously branded and made available both in the food market and online. The path to mainstream acceptance presented numerous challenges, but in 2013, a momentous turning point arrived. I was thrilled when Dr. Oz and the broader U.S. market recognized the extensive health benefits of Red Palm Oil. This recognition spurred me to seize the opportunity to introduce the Juka’s brand to health-conscious consumers across the nation.

My journey of giving back to African women has been deeply inspired by my own upbringing. Witnessing my mother's successful business ventures, achieved without any formal education, was a source of inspiration and empowerment for me and my sisters. Her business not only thrived but also contributed to financing our education. This experience ignited my passion to extend the same opportunities to women in villages across Africa.

In my quest to empower these women, I embarked on a partnership with them, recognizing the importance of preserving the purity of the products and ensuring that the benefits return to the continent of their origin, particularly to the women farmers. This journey began with a partnership in a village on the outskirts of Gambia and Senegal in West Africa, where it all began. As I witnessed the transformation and positive impact of this collaboration on the lives of these women, I was inspired to replicate this strategy in many other countries across Africa.

Today, I am immensely proud to share that we have expanded our reach and are working with women from various villages in over six countries throughout West Africa. Under the umbrella of Juka’s Organic Co., we now offer a diverse range of healthy products that are deeply rooted in African tradition and are renowned as healing foods. This journey is a testament to our commitment to both cultural preservation and women's empowerment, and it's a journey I'm honored to continue.
